Last 4, Carabao Cup Teenagers making the grade

As the Carabao Cup enters the Semi-final stage, we assess the kids that have left football fans with a taste of their talent, and to see whether the next generation will elevate their club to footballing success, and the possibility of silverware. Ahead of the last four, we look at the youngsters looking to make an impression.

Josh Brownhill, 21 – Bristol City, Central Midfielder


21-year-old Brownhill featured in the 2-1 EFL win against Premier League Manchester United, and has quietly, and steadily, gained a solid reputation with his long-range passing and a tough tackle approach. An ever-present in the heart of Bristol’s central midfield has seen Brownhill deployed in both defensive and attacking midfield roles. Bristol landed a plum draw against Guardiola’s Manchester City, and the youngster will be eager to push his reputation further with a solid display against the best team in the Premier League.
